This beautiful metal ginkgo biloba leaf was cast from a natural ginkgo leaf I collected while spending time in downtown Chicago, the trees were beautifully lining the streets.
Ginkgo leaf dangles from a long 26"L chain.
Each leaf is pressed into a mold made from the natural ginkgo leaf, then cut out and sanded by hand using metal clay and is kiln fired and finished to this beautiful and unique solid metal piece of jewelry. Variations are to be expected and enjoyed!
Bronze ginkgo leaf has a either a matte/kiln patina or a polished finish and hangs on a 26"L fancy 14K gold filled chain with a spring ring clasp.
Sterling ginkgo leaf is .925 sterling silver and has an oxidized/darkened patina to highlight the details and hangs on a 26"L sterling silver oval cable link chain with a spring ring clasp.
*14K gold-filled is an actual layer of 14 carat gold - pressure bonded onto a base metal. It is not gold-plate - it has more gold than gold-plating, will not flake off and is far more valuable and tarnish resistant.
*Bronze is composed of 90% copper and 10% tin and is nickel free.
