This pair of beautiful ginkgo biloba leaf earrings were cast from a natural ginkgo leaf I collected during while spending time in downtown Chicago, the trees beautifully lining the street.
Each leaf is pressed into a mold made from the natural ginkgo leaf, then cut out and sanded by hand using metal clay and is kiln fired and finished to this beautiful and unique solid metal piece of jewelry. Variations are to be expected and enjoyed!
Sterling silver option is made from sterling metal clay and have .925 sterling silver French ear wires. Sterling ginkgo leaf has an oxidized (darkened) patina finish.
Bronze option is made from bronze metal clay and has 14K gold fill French ear wires. Bronze ginkgo leaf has a polished finish.
*14K gold-filled is an actual layer of 14 carat gold - pressure bonded onto a base metal. It is not gold-plate - it has more gold than gold-plating, will not flake off and is far more valuable and tarnish resistant.
*Bronze is composed of 90% copper and 10% tin and is nickel free.
