This handcrafted cicada wing is great to layer up and a lovely delicate addition to your boho stack! I crafted this cicada wing from one I collected near Dallas, TX after the end of its life cycle.
It dangles along a 18"L chain with a 2"L extender chain, total length is 20”L and closes with a spring ring clasp.
Wing measures approximately 1-3/8"L x 1/2"W

The bronze necklace is made with 100% natural un-lacquered bronze and therefore will naturally patina over time. It comes on a 14K gold filled chain.
The sterling silver option is 100% natural un-lacquered .925 sterling silver with an oxidized (darkened) finish
Each piece is molded, cut and crafted by hand using metal clay from a mold I made from a real cicada wing and then is kiln fired and finished to this beautiful and unique solid metal piece of jewelry.

*14K gold-filled is an actual layer of 14 carat gold - pressure bonded onto a base metal. It is not gold-plate - it has more gold than gold-plating, will not flake off and is far more valuable and tarnish resistant.
